Punnamada Resort offers shikara ride as ‘Backwater Picnic’ through the serene back waters as per the convenience of the guest. The normal ride duration is three hours and can be extended as per the requirement. The shikara at Punnamada Resort has a seating capacity of 17 people. The ride can be booked with or without lunch as per the choice of the guest. Shikara ride route is through Vembanad Lake and depends on the duration of the ride. It starts from Punnamada Resort and passes through Nehru Trophy finishing point and covers Kuttanad and Inner canals. Shikara can travel through the inner canals since it is smaller in size than the houseboats.
