Priyadarshini Planetarium is closely attached with the Kerala Science and Technology Museum at Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum). It is open for the public since 1994 and remains closed on Mondays. The working time of the planetarium is from 10.30am to 12pm and 3pm to 5pm. The planetarium is equipped with GM-11 star field projector. This device can project almost all the constituents of the observable universe. The projector can replicate the star studded view of the night sky from 12,500 years back and forth as per choice. The shows conducted here share knowledge of the outer space to the viewers along with information regarding astro physics and astronomy. The nearest Trivandrum Airport and railway station is at a distance of 4km from the planetarium.
