Aruvikkuzhi waterfall is a well known picnic spot near Kumarakom and it is located at a distance of 18km from Kottayam. The waterfall cascades through the rocks at a height of 100 feet and the water flows to different streams. The surrounding area is used for rubber plantations which provide ample shade to the visitors. The visitors go for walks through the lush green plantation area to rejuvenate their mind and body with fresh breeze and cool weather. The site is ideal for trekking and film shooting. St.Mary’s church is located at the top of the waterfalls. Maramala waterfall is located in the close vicinity to Aruvikkuzhi waterfalls. Pallickathod rubber plantation centre is just a kilometre away from Aruvikkuzhi waterfall.
